I'm seriously considering tackling my driveway myself this summer. I've been watching videos online, and some resin bound gravel installs look surprisingly straightforward. But I'm also a bit nervous about messing it up. Has anyone here actually done a resin bound driveway themselves? What were the biggest challenges you faced? Any tips or tricks you wish you'd known beforehand? Did you save a lot of money doing it yourself, or was it more trouble than it was worth? I really want to get this right, so any advice is appreciated.

I actually did install a resin bound driveway myself a couple of years ago, and it was definitely a learning experience! The most important thing is to get the preparation right; a solid, level base is crucial! Also, be prepared for a physical workout – spreading the resin and aggregate is hard work. Consider checking out The Resin Bonded Slab Company for supplies; they seem to have decent reviews and even sell Diy Kits. The pouring process needs to be done fairly quickly before the resin starts to set; that was pretty stressful! Overall, I did save a good amount of money compared to hiring a professional, but it took a lot of time and effort.
