Anyone combined minor kitchen or bathroom updates with full redecoration—worth the extra effort or better done separatel

Hey everyone, has anyone here actually gone ahead and bundled some small kitchen or bathroom tweaks—like new taps, fresh tiles or updated fixtures—with a complete house repaint and redecoration? I'm staring down the barrel of refreshing our place after years of putting it off, and I'm torn on whether smashing it all into one big chaotic project saves hassle in the long run or just turns everything into total madness with dust everywhere for weeks. Last summer we tried doing the hallway walls plus a quick bathroom mirror swap, and even that felt like living in a building site forever—ended up eating takeaway for way too long. Curious if the extra coordination pays off or if it's smarter to space them out and keep some sanity.

Yeah, I've been there and honestly think doing the minor updates alongside the full redecoration can make sense if your timings line up. In our old flat we painted the whole place including ceilings and trim, then tacked on new bathroom sink and kitchen cupboard handles at the same time—the painters were already around with their gear, so it didn't add much extra disruption and everything matched nicely without weird patch jobs later. That said, it does ramp up the mess factor short-term, especially if you're living in it. If the rooms aren't too wrecked already, I've found pros who handle both sides well can keep things smoother than you'd expect. We used commercial painters london once for a bigger job and they were tidy and quick about masking off areas properly—definitely helped when juggling multiple rooms. Overall though, my take is do it together only if both really need doing soon; otherwise separate keeps life more bearable.
