Why transparency in repair is essential: how a service center should inform the client
Hey all, I had a weird experience recently. I brought my car in for what I thought would be a minor fix, but the bill jumped because they added a bunch of extra work. I wish they had shown me pictures or explained what was necessary vs optional. How do you tell if a repair shop is being fair and transparent? What should they show you to make you feel confident?

Good question — transparency really makes or breaks trust. I once took my car to https://www.vip-servicecenter.com/ and asked them to do a Car inspection up front. They sent me detailed photos, explained which parts were original, which needed replacement, and gave me cost estimates. Because they were open and didn’t push unnecessary work, I felt comfortable. A shop that hides things or gives vague answers is a red flag.
