Private vs. public ADHD screening: what's the difference?
Hi everyone, I'm thinking of getting tested for ADHD, but here's a question: is it better to go through the public system or go straight for the private option? I have a friend who made an appointment through the NHS, but he waited almost a year and when he finally got an appointment, the consultation was very quick and the doctor didn't really explain what to do next. He ended up with no diagnosis and no proper treatment plan. Has anyone experienced this? Maybe in private clinics the process is faster and more detailed?

Yeah, I've been through it. I had an appointment with the NHS, but when they said I would have to wait over a year, I decided to try a different route. I ended up going to a private clinic where it was much quicker. I was referred for a private adhd assessment cambridge, and after a couple of weeks I had a full report with recommendations. Of course, it wasn't free, but there were no nerves or long waits. If you want quick results and a clear plan, a private assessment is the best option.
